MSP billing scope
MSP billing follows one principle: you pay for protected people, once, across your whole scope.
What counts
Section titled “What counts”- A billable person = an active person holding at least one allow (unexpired) access in the scope.
- The scope is your company plus all your customers, counted as distinct people — the same person with access at two customers counts once.
- Machines and Windows accounts are not billed — only people.
- Your technicians consume nothing: delegation isn’t sign-in access (see customers).
The free tier
Section titled “The free tier”The first 10 people and 5 resources (scope totals) are free — enough to run a real customer before paying anything.
Per-customer breakdown
Section titled “Per-customer breakdown”Settings → Plan & Billing shows usage per customer — how many billable people each contributes — with CSV export for your own re-billing. Usage snapshots are taken continuously, and the month-end value is what bills.
Managed billing
Section titled “Managed billing”A customer whose billing is carried by the provider sees a “managed by …” note instead of payment controls — no double-billing confusion.
The rule that never breaks
Section titled “The rule that never breaks”Whatever happens with payment — card failure, past-due, suspension — Windows sign-ins are never locked. Billing enforcement is panel-side (read-only) only. See plans & billing.
